Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong expertise in government tender operations and financial management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying, preparing, coordinating, and managing government and institutional tenders while ensuring full compliance with procurement regulations and financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Government Tender Management

Identify and monitor government, semi-government, and institutional tender opportunities through procurement portals and notices
Prepare, review, and submit complete tender documentation, including technical proposals, financial proposals, quotations, bid security, and compliance documents
Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and management for the collection of required tender documents and pricing information
Ensure all tender submissions comply with government procurement laws, bid requirements, timelines, and eligibility criteria
Handle online tender submission processes through government e-procurement portals
Maintain and update records of tender participation, bid status, contracts awarded, renewals, and related correspondence
Follow up on tender clarifications, bid openings, evaluations, contract awards, and execution processes
Prepare comparative cost analysis, BOQ reviews, and pricing documentation for tender participation
Coordinate preparation of the company's legal, tax, financial, and compliance documents required for tender submissions
Track tender deadlines, bid validity periods, security deposits, and contract obligations
Stay updated on government procurement policies, bidding procedures, and tender regulations

Accounting & Financial Operations

Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and expense tracking
Prepare financial reports, statements, and budget-related documents
Handle VAT, TDS, income tax filing, and ensure compliance with Nepal taxation laws
Maintain proper financial records and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with auditors and support the timely completion of internal and external audits
Monitor cash flow, payments, receivables, and vendor settlements
Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in government tender-related work (mandatory) and overall accounting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Nepal taxation and financial regulations
Experience in handling tender portals and documentation
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar) and MS Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
Good communication and coordination skills
Minimum 2 years of commitment

Salary: Rs. 30,000 + (based on candidate's qualifications and experience)
