Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws, and support for audits while guiding junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Check all accounting entries and maintain accurate records in the accounting system.
Prepare and analyze financial information, including monthly and annual accounts, journals, vouchers, and ledgers.
Reconcile all necessary accounts to ensure accuracy.
Handle legal and compliance issues related to accounting, including VAT filing and annual document preparation for external audits.
Update and renew company documents and certifications as required.
Undertake administrative and financial tasks as needed.
Communicate and correspond with banks, other departments, external agencies, and tax offices.
Prepare memos, letters, and other correspondence as required.
Monitor, guide, and support assistant accountants in daily office and accounting activities.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 6 years

Other Specification

Education: Master’s degree in Accounts, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 6 years in accounting/finance, with at least 4 years in senior accountant roles.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in accounting tasks such as journals, ledgers, reconciliations, vouchers, and financial statements.
Good understanding of finance concepts including cash flow, capital budgeting, ratio analysis, etc.
Knowledge of VAT, taxes, TDS, production management, and government policies.
Familiarity with banking procedures, insurance, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
