Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our company. This role involves preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong technical accounting expertise with a solid understanding of investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements on time
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Guiding subordinates

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 8 years

Other Specification

Knowledge of operating Accounting software packages
Must be willing to learn the software package employed by the Company
Energetic, resourceful, willing to learn and participate in company affairs, and be a strong team player
Must have knowledge of the tax, Vat, and TDS applicable in the country
Must have knowledge of Sales and Purchase
Must have knowledge of Banking processes, Bank entries, and Bank reconciliation
Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge about share market will be an advantage
Must manage multiple business units and a team
