Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with in-depth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial management. This role requires an individual who can lead financial operations and ensure compliance with local accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS).
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the company.
Ensure tax planning and compliance with Nepalese tax laws (VAT, Income Tax, TDS, etc.).
Collaborate with external auditors for timely completion of audits.
Provide financial insights to assist in decision-making and business strategy.
Manage the cash flow and working capital to optimize financial performance.
Review and reconcile accounts, resolving discrepancies.
Lead, train, and supervise the accounting team.
Stay up to date with changes in Nepalese tax laws and accounting standards.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 7 years

Other Specification

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from ICAN or an equivalent international qualification. (prefer)
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience in Nepal, with knowledge of local tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, FAMAS, or other financial systems used in Nepal).
Strong knowledge of NFRS, GAAP, and tax regulations in Nepal.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing a team and working with senior management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
