Job Description

Position: Security Training Manager (Level 3 and above)

 ELITE NEPAL Training and Management Pvt. Ltd. Gaushala, Kathmandu (A subsidiary of River Group) and an affiliation with ELITE UK (An UK Based Security Training Company) is urgently hiring a qualified & experienced Security Training Manager (Level 3 and above).
 

Basic Qualification & Requirement

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and should have taken training from an international institute.
  • Must have excellent command & control over Security Operations i.e. Recruitment, Selection, Training & Development of qualified security guards.
  • Strong understanding of security principles & techniques, knowledge of security technologies & industry standards, strong organizational, project management and strong leadership skills.
  • English Communication Level should be L-5 (excellent in verbal & written) with strong instructional design skills.
  • Good Personality with Military/Police Officers (commanding role) background and Security Managers with similar International Security Operation would be an advantage.

 

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and delivers training programs for National/International security officers/guards and other employees.
  • Acts to ensure compliance with legally mandated, contractual, and company mandated training requirements.
  • Works closely with agency leadership to build and maintain successful sourcing, recruiting, selection, training and onboarding required security guards.
  • Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity.
  • All assigned duties or tasks are deemed to be part of the essential functions, unless such duties or tasks are unrelated to the functions listed, in which case they are deemed to be other (non-essential) functions.
  •  Employee will be held accountable for successful job performance.
  • In performing functions, duties or tasks, employees are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.
  •  In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
  • Trains employees and job candidates, sources, recruits and conducts orientation, mandatory licensing training, issues temp guard licenses, works closely with the SIRA, Elite-UK & Elite Nepal, trains employees on signing up and accessing their account for their licenses, conducts on-the-job training, and training in health and safety practices.
  • Acts to ensure compliance with legally mandated, contractual, and company mandated training requirements; documents training as required for purposes of licensing and under the terms of client contracts.
  • Confers with owners, managers and supervisors to determine training needs and approaches. Develops training schedules in conjunction with management; coordinates training activities so as not to conflict with international client service schedules.
  • Checks & confirms appropriate instructional procedures on recruitment, selection, PHQ, BMI & Language Proficiency, Background Compliance of security guards under given guidelines and criteria, conduct training & development, provide instruction, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role playing, and computer-based training & exams, and has thorough understanding of learning practices.
  • Organizes training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. Maintains records and prepares reports to evaluate performance of training activities, and to monitor progress of trainees.
  • In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include: Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, branch offices, staff, and all appropriate sources, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.
  • Handling multiple tasks concurrently. Computer usage and professional communication with international clients. Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Regular talking and hearing, in both one-on-one and group settings. Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, and be able to lifting and/or moving pre in set-up for and delivery of training programs. Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned by management and supervisors.
