Job Description

  • Design and plan sanitation systems, including wastewater treatment plants, stormwater management, and solid waste disposal facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement water treatment processes to ensure the delivery of safe and clean drinking water.
  • Conduct water quality assessments and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Design and oversee waste management systems, including collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal of solid and hazardous waste.
  • Implement waste reduction and recycling programs.
  • Conduct assessments of existing sanitation infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies for upgrading or rehabilitating aging systems.
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of sanitation projects and propose mitigation measures.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in environmental engineering.
  • Ensure that sanitation projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, government agencies, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Manage sanitation projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
