Job Description

Position Reports To: Directors

As a Sales and Marketing Manager you are in charge of all sales and marketing related activities for the resort as well as manage and guide your team members towards the company’s vision and mission. You are responsible for developing and fostering sales and develop a strategic action plans for the resort to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue. It is your job to identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of your team. For creating an optimal team within your department you should closely work together with the Operations Manager and the HR department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and fostering long-term business relationships with corporate customers and Travel Agent
  • Make sure all the sales and marketing-related policies are followed
  • Have a clear understanding of the hotels business strategies, set goals and determine action plans to meet those goals
  • Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales
  • Represent the resort in various events and exhibition
  • Ensure the customer gets the highest quality service at all times
  • Train and motivate team members so their performance remains stable
  • Create a marketing campaign on a quarterly basis and implement clear actions plans for sales to meet the sales and marketing objectives of that plan
  • Work closely with the Front Office team to ensure high standard of service is delivered on a constant basis
  • Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person
  • Assess additional training needs based on data gathered and interaction with sales team from property visits.  
  • Targeting key accounts potential for the company
  • Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
  • Closely following up on all business leads within a 24 hour response time line to clients.
