Job Description

  • Work as a part of sales and reservation team and process reservations by mail, telephone, social media , sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
  • Indept knowledge about the property including the type of rooms available as well as their location, layout etc.
  • Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Preparing and sending reports, quotes and proposals and other required correspondence with the guests and analysing, and summarizing information.
  • Contacting potential and existing customers on the phone, by email, and in person.
  • Researching prospects and generating leads.
  • Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
  • Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
  • Handles daily correspondence. Responds to inquiries and makes reservations as needed.
  • Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees.
  • Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons.
  • Processes payments and refunds and maintain reports regarding the same
  • Making necessary arrangements for clients travel programs.
  • Tracks future room availability on the basis of reservations and help develop forecasts for room revenue and occupancy. 
  • Helps develop room revenue, occupancy forecasts, discount and other required reports on timely basis
  • Monitor and process payments, advances and refunds
  • Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons
  • Open and close the availability as and when required of hotel in all the OTA channels, IDS channels and on the hotel website.
  • Configuring rates on the hotels property management system.
  • Ability to upsell
