The Sales Officer plays a crucial role in generating revenue and driving business growth through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management. This position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with strong sales skills and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets, acquiring new customers, and maximizing sales opportunities within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales plans and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Set clear sales targets and goals for the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Identify potential customers and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
  • Conduct market research to identify target markets, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Engage with prospective customers, conduct sales presentations, and demonstrate products or services to generate interest and close deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their requirements, and provide appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead qualification to deal closure.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and handle objections to secure sales agreements.
  • Track sales activities, maintain accurate sales records, and provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay informed and identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the field to support product enhancements and market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and overcome objections.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitor landscape.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
