The Sales and Marketing Manager are responsible for overseeing all sales, reservations, and marketing activities to maximize hotel revenue. This includes developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing the reservations team, ensuring room occupancy and rates, and executing marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and achieve business objectives.

Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities:

Handle and respond to guest bookings, inquiries and complaints via phone, email and chat.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase occupancy and exceed revenue targets.
Market analysis to identify trends, competitor performance and potential areas of growth to adjust sales strategies.
Identify and target new business opportunities (corporate, travel agencies, OTAs) and group bookings.
Build and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure repeat business.
Optimize room inventory and pricing through yield and revenue management strategies.
Contacting and follow up potential, existing guest or travel agents on the phone, email and in person.
Monitor sales and reservation performance and provide regular reports to management team.
Stay on top of the latest market industry trends and implement best practices.
Attend sales meetings and training sessions.
Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure room availability and guest satisfaction.
Handle VIP, group bookings and ensure special requests are met.
Manage and represent the hotel at social media and networking events.
Train and supervise reservation team members to enhance their skills and performance to provide excellent guest service and courteous handling of all reservations.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales reports.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly occupancy and booking trends.
Generate and analyze reservation and occupancy reports.

Strong analytical skills so to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
Business degree, or any relevant qualification, would be advantageous
Strong verbal and written communicator
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and sales software programs
Excellent phone and presentation skills

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in sales and reservation, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and IDS software are a plus.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Flexibility to work hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
