Roving Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Coordinator-1 Position

The purpose of the position is to implement monitoring and evaluation framework of the emergency response projects in Dolakha. This includes providing inputs to the monitoring and evaluation framework; orientation on monitoring and evaluation tools and indicators to the Plan and partner staff; ensuring collection, analysis and dissemination of monitoring data.

Terms and Location:  Fixed term employment till 30 June 2017 based in Sindhupalchok Field Office with frequent travel to Dolakha Field Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide necessary support to the Country Office Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) team in developing M & E framework/plan for the Earthquake Emergency Response Projects.
  • Provide orientation on M & E framework to all concerned programme/project staff of both Plan and partner organizations within a month of programme/project start date.
  • Ensure collection, analysis and dissemination of monitoring data according to M & E framework.
  • Distribution of relief materials capturing people reached disaggregated by sex, age group, disabilities, caste/ethnicity, locations for each distributed items is maintained and submitted to Country Office MER team on a daily basis.
  • Provide orientation to Partner NGOs working in Earthquake Emergency Response projects on project monitoring tools and methods.
  • Collect, analyze and distribute district level information required for management and donor for project design.
  • Maintain confidentiality of collected feedback and concerns from children and communities and submit to the Feedback Officer at Country Office periodically.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science or relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation and/or research.
  • Familiar with sampling techniques, qualitative & quantitative research methods, data analysis and M&E systems.
  • SAP knowledge added value.
  • Excellent Communication and report writing skills both in English and Nepali languages.
  • INGO work experience preferred.
