Job Description

  • Administering basic first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of students and staff according to school policies.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers and administrators to develop and implement individual health care plans for students with special health care needs.
  • Monitoring medication administration and ensuring that students receive prescribed medications on time.
  • Conducting health screenings, immunizations, and maintaining health records in compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Educating students and staff on health and safety issues.
  • Providing health education and counseling to students, parents, and staff.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the school infirmary.
  • Providing appropriate referrals to community health resources when necessary.
  • Assisting with health-related school policies and procedures.
