The Residential Nurse / Health Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the overall health and well-being of students and staff at Kathmandu World School. The role involves providing first aid, administering medications, managing health records, and promoting health education in a residential school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Care & First Aid:

• Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance to students and staff as needed.
• Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses, referring serious cases to a hospital when necessary.
• Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and ensure timely replenishment.
• Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the school’s medical facility.

Health Monitoring & Record Keeping:

• Maintain up-to-date health records of students and staff, including medical history and emergency contact details.
• Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, allergies, diabetes) and provide necessary support.
• Conduct routine health checks and screenings as required.

Emergency & Crisis Management:

• Act as the first responder in medical emergencies and coordinate with healthcare professionals when needed.
• Develop and implement emergency health protocols in collaboration with the school administration.
• Accompany students to medical facilities when required.

Health Education & Awareness:

• Organize and conduct health awareness programs, including hygiene, nutrition, and mental health.
• Educate students and staff on disease prevention, healthy habits, and personal well-being.
• Assist in planning and implementing wellness initiatives.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with school administration, hostel wardens, and parents regarding students’ health conditions.
• Coordinate with local hospitals and clinics for medical emergencies and health check-ups.
• Communicate effectively with parents about students' health concerns and updates.
