Job Location: Province 2, 3,4,5,6 and Municipalities –Bhaktapur,Dhulikhel & Budhanilkantha

Core Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Job Overview: Research Associates will help in conducting research on various development and public sector projects. He/ She help in coordinating and communication with various stakeholders within the sector. He/ She will also create reports and documents to support the projects of the public sector. He/She will be based in one of the province capitals of Nepal.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in research activities for the public sector at the provincial level
• Write reports and create concept papers and documents on new projects
• Provide support to the public sector team
• Communicate and co-ordinate with various stakeholders (Government agencies and Development Partners) of the public sector at the province level

Qualification and Experiences:

• Bachelor’s Degree with research experience on Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Development Studies, Management or similar fields
• Experience of conducting research and field visits
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with government agencies, private sector and development partners at the provincial level
• Strong creative writing, excellent editing skills, organizational or project management skills
• Team player who is a critical thinker and possesses excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities, with a high degree of self-confidence
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Windows Office programs
• Commitment to quality work and strong attention to detail
• Ability, initiative, and commitment to be a part of a culture of excellence

Specific Skills:

• Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills
  
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data and display in
  
• professional charts and graphs
  
• Ability to write complex reports
  
• Previous research experience
  
• Project coordination experience
