Geo-Infra Research Institute is seeking dedicated and skilled Research Assistant to join our research team. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting research projects in the field of Civil Engineering with special focus on geotechnical engineering by providing technical assistance and conducting research activities such as literature review, data collection and management, finite element modelling, programming, data analysis and writing/editing the documents/manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting extensive literature review
• Conducting finite element modelling for geotechnical/transportation engineering projects
• Assisting in the design and implementation of research projects
• Collecting and analyzing data using various methods, including laboratory and field testing
• Writing technical reports, research papers, and other project deliverables
• Preparing presentations and contributing to the dissemination of research findings
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure research projects are completed on time and within budget
• Maintaining accurate records and databases of research activities
• Contributing to the development of research methodologies and protocols
• Maintaining a safe and organized research environment

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Completed/Running)/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of finite element modelling techniques and software
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
• Excellent technical writing skills with demonstrated ability to write research papers and technical reports
• Familiarity with laboratory and field testing methods for geotechnical/transportation engineering projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with research ethics and principles
