Job Description

  • Liaise with government offices, NGO’s, INGOs and local community.
  • Manage Reintegration Process.
  • Report on activities and finance, verbal and written
  • Meet all the legal requirements of the Government of Nepal in the reunification process of rescued children
  • Liaise with appropriate Government officials, VDCs, DDCs, CDOs, SWC, CCWB, DCWB, Women Development Office, Child Clubs, Child Networks, etc.
  • Establish working relationships with local NGOs and Child Rights Officer.
  • Research families of identified children in all districts of Nepal
  • Supervise the staff needed and ensuring its security while in the field
  • Conduct interviews of identified families, children and concerned actors
  • Assess of village situation including but not limited to school, health posts, transportation, political situation and feeding
  • Provide recommendation toward reintegration for each concerned child
  • Reunify children with their families of origin, or when not possible reintegrate children within their communities through kinship, foster family or any other suitable alternative
  • Monitor reunited children to ensure his/her safety and sustainable long term care, and adjustment within the community
  • Manage all the family support provided to those families and develop appropriate procedures
  • Prepare provisional budget and action plans and participate in all required meetings and trainings
  • Monitor the sustainability of all the activities and the security of each child involved in the project.
  • Prepare monthly report summarizing all activities of reunification.
  • Document with photographs on all families, children and community on digital database.
  • Maintain and update on the computer all required information.
