Job Title: Recruitment Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Recruitment, Selection and Matriculation (RSM)
No. of positions: 2
Location: The position is based at Kathmandu with frequent travel as and when required.
Duration: Fixed term contract from June 2025- July 2027 (Probable Extension)

Role Summary: 

As a part of the program team, your primary role is supporting recruitment drives at TFN by engaging with potential candidates through continuous motivation, support in the candidate journey and building relationships with academia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a pool of potential candidates for TFN Fellowship through college /university outreach, club engagements, referrals, and other sources.
  • Cultivating the prospects about TFN’s Theory of Problem and Theory of Change and investing prospects for Fellowship from both communication and in-person sourcing
  • Support the candidates throughout the candidate journey through virtual phone class, emails and in person meetings engagements.
  • Learning documentation, reports etc.
  • Build effective networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.(Student leaders, Club leaders, HOD etc.)
  • Create effective partnership with relevant stakeholders (Student leaders, Club leaders, HOD etc. etc)
  • Engage them through updates and various events
  • Contribute in nurturing team values and culture

Qualification: Undergraduate degree with minimum of two years’ of relevant experience.

Required experiences:

  • At least two years of working experience with universities, colleges or youth clubs.
  • Familiar about the socio- economic dynamics of Nepalese communities and youth leadership and engagement prospects in Nepal.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills;
  • Reporting skills in English and Nepali languages;
  • Advanced skills in office suite;
  • Interpersonal and prioritization skills; and
  • Conflict management skills.

Competencies:

  • Exhibit behavior aligned with Teach for Nepal values;
  • Knowledge of the education issues and education inequity in Nepal;
  • Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other employees. Maintains good work relationships both internally and externally and has the ability to work productively as a team;
  • Demonstrates the ability to use creativity, reasoning, past experience, information and available resources to generate new ideas and resolve issues;
  • Ability to persuade and influence others;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to conflicting deadlines;
  • Positive attitude, flexible and adaptable to the needs of team and organization; and
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
