Job Description

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for all guests at the Himalayan Suite Hotel. This role ensures a warm, professional, and efficient welcome and provides seamless guest service from check-in to check-out. The receptionist represents the brand image of the hotel and plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth front office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services

  • Welcome guests with a warm smile and professional greeting.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently using Hotel Management System .
  • Provide accurate information about room rates, hotel services, and local attractions.
  • Manage guest requests, complaints, and feedback promptly and courteously.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for room readiness and service issues.

Administrative & Reservation Duties

  • Handle online and walk-in reservations accurately.
  • Maintain guest records, room allocations, and billing information.
  • Answer phone calls and emails professionally, routing messages when necessary.
  • Process payments (cash, card, or online) and issue receipts.
  • Prepare daily check-in/check-out reports for the front office manager.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with housekeeping, F&B, and management for guest requirements.
  • Assist with tour bookings, taxi arrangements, and local travel information.
  • Report unusual incidents, lost & found, or guest concerns to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information at all times.
