Quality Developer

What you will be doing?

A. Resolves assigned tasks in an efficient and effective manner (Customer or internal)

• Design, implement and maintain JAVA application adhering to SDS coding standards and policies
• Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regularly and document all specifications and workflows. All implementation meetings are followed up with a written listing of all tasks
• Develops test cases and data and tests all changes and new modules
• Reviews and responds to the quality tickets that are reported by the customer and come up with a resolution/mitigation approach
• Write clear and concise requirements for a project development
• Logs any customer reported errors to an error spreadsheet for that customer in order to determine a trend in errors
• Identifies when a client is becoming frustrated or an issue is not resolving and escalates to the concerned team where appropriate.
• Generate customized reports as per the customer’s requirements
• Adheres to SDS’s courteous and professional written and verbal communication standards
• A consistently high rating on customer satisfaction surveys 5.
• Works independently with minimal guidance
• Actively involved in improving organizational culture, process, and standards
• Other duties as assigned

B.  Business Analysis

• Understands and follows all assigned customers’ workflow including import and export process
• Ability to interpret customer business processes, analyze problems, and recommend programmable solutions

C. Risk Designation

• The role is classified as High Risk, due to access to Protected Healthcare Information. Employees in this role must be free of felony convictions on a background check report

Skills Required for the position:

• Hands-on experience in JAVA Object-Oriented Programming design concepts and software development processes and methods 
• Must have strong knowledge of relational databases, MySQL
• Experience with J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience working with version control systems, such as GIT including branching and merging strategies. 
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Excellent Logical and Analytical Skill
• Attention to detail
• Time Management and Professionalism
• Experience with technologies listed in the previous section
• Reporting and Metrics
• On-time task completion percentage

Other Job Requirements:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Relevant work experience is a plus
• Availability to work nights and weekends if necessary
• Must be able to work on Holidays to take care of urgent tasks
• Desire and ability to continuously improve, discover and expand the limits
• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
