Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications through comprehensive testing strategies. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug issues and validate fixes.
- Utilize testing tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Document and communicate test results, defects, and recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure web applications comply with usability standards, accessibility guidelines, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide quality-related feedback.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web application testing.
- Work closely with Scrum teams to ensure QA processes align with Agile methodologies and support sprint planning, execution, and reviews.
- Collaborate with Project Management teams to ensure testing aligns with project timelines, deliverables, and requirements.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in QA/testing, preferably in web applications.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with web application frameworks and databases.
- Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies and ability to work in Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with Project Management concepts and tools to align QA processes with project goals.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ISTQB, CSTE, or similar QA certifications.
- Scrum certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master.
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
Additional Preferences
- Experience in testing e-commerce, fintech, or other domain-specific web applications.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE).
- Basic programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript to enhance test automation.
- Experience using Project Management tools like Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
