About the job

We are seeking a skilled Purchase Manager to oversee our procurement activities for both of our jute mills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, equipment, and services essential for our manufacturing processes. The Purchase Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that all purchases meet quality standards while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals.
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts and prices.
Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Forecast procurement needs and maintain adequate stock levels of raw materials and supplies.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and priorities.
Monitor market trends and developments in the jute industry to make informed purchasing decisions.
Manage the procurement budget and optimize purchasing costs.
Oversee the purchase order process and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Resolve supplier grievances and claims to maintain positive relationships.
Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure procurement activities comply with legal requirements.
