Doko Recyclers (DR), a social enterprise, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in Kathmandu Valley and outside. DR serves customers in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets throughout the valley.

We implement methods to help you segregate waste at its source into different categories before it enters our waste stream. Once it enters our waste stream we continue to separate your waste into different recyclable categories ensuring that the right materials get to the right industries. These industries then extract and reuse existing resources from the waste you give us to create new goods. Our shredding, e-waste, and composting services in addition to our waste pick ups, awareness training workshops, and waste segregation infrastructure setup all allow you to do this instinctively in your own homes and office spaces.

  • Strong understanding of sustainability, CSR frameworks, and waste management (preferred). 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong command of both Nepali and English, verbal and written.

  • Strong negotiation skills to secure deals and programs with CSR partners. 
  • Ability to lead communication strategies and manage creative teams.

Job Description

This is a hybrid role that combines corporate partnerships and external communications to strengthen our brand as a sustainability leader in waste management. The Public Relations Manager will convert corporate clients into long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners, build a strong CSR project portfolio, and enhance the organization’s visibility and credibility through impactful communications. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Corporate Partnerships & CSR Development 

  • Design and implement CSR strategies aligned with company objectives and client requirements. 
  • Identify potential partners for CSR activities and approach them with proposals highlighting mutual impact and visibility benefits. 
  • Convert corporate clients into active CSR partners through strong relationship management. 
  • Liaise with the internal Project Department to plan and implement CSR projects.
  • Develop, expand, and manage the organization’s CSR portfolio. 
  • Set department KPIs, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the Executive Team. Communications & Branding 
  • Lead external communications and digital content strategy to promote the organization’s sustainability initiatives in waste management. 
  • Develop and oversee content strategies across digital platforms, including website, newsletters, blogs, social media, and other communications, ensuring brand consistency and impactful messaging. 
  • Lead video content creation and documentation that showcases impact stories.
  • Supervise the Content & Design Specialist to ensure brand alignment and high-quality content delivery. 
  • Collaborate with the freelance content strategist to strengthen the content design and outreach. 

Events and Campaigns 

  • Plan, organize, and manage campaigns and events aligned with company objectives.
  • Actively participate in relevant online and offline events to amplify visibility and impact. 
  • Represent the organization at advocacy events and stakeholder engagements. 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Liaise with the Clientele Department to develop and manage marketing initiatives. 
  • Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to build trust and long-term collaboration.
