Roles and responsibilities of this job

The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, some degree of understanding of and/or experience with the evolving national and international (primarily US market) media landscape. The candidate must also have a strong interest in developing and editing various media materials and owned content, such as press releases, media alerts, social media posts, opinion articles, etc.

This role offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about PR and communications to work alongside like-minded professionals with the goal of consistently creating successful news and media moments for Fusemachines.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

The PR & Communications Executive will be critical to the successful execution of the various elements of Fusemachines’ communications programs, and will be responsible for:

Analyzing news trends and pitching relevant stories to the media
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with relevant journalists and analysts
Writing and reviewing first drafts of press releases, FAQs, pitch letters, leadership bios, etc.
Participating in communications strategy and planning sessions
Monitoring and tracking the success of implemented communications programs

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising or a related field
One-three years of experience in communications, storytelling, media and/or reporting
Experience drafting, editing and proofreading content
Ability to think on their feet and consistently present creative ideas
Strong interest in technology and media/communications
Must have good time management and prioritization skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
