Psychosocial Supervisor

Job Overview :- 7 full-time positions, based in provincial office (one each in province) with frequent field visits to local governments implementing SaMi) is responsible to build the capacity of psychosocial counsellors in providing psychosocial counselling service to the migrant workers and their families left behind. The local partner organizations/local governments recruit the social worker[1] and they will be based in the concerned local governments. Supervisor is expected to support in training and continuous supervision of the psychosocial counselors at field level. Each psychosocial supervisor will have to support social workers of 5-6 districts (i.e. 20-24 social workers). Supervisor will be based in province 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 while Dang will be based for project of Kailali, Banke, Dang, Rolpa and Salyan districts.  Candidates are requested to mention province you are interested to work in the application.

Requirements : 

  • Master’s degree in psychology or counselling psychology or mental health social work from recognized university or bachelor degree in social science with at least five years of working experiences as psychosocial counsellors in migration field (with migrant workers and their families) under close supervision from expert clinical psychologists/ psychologists.  
  • At least two years of practical working experience as a psychosocial supervisor in psychosocial field or at least five years of working as psychosocial counselor under close supervision of expert clinical psychologists/ psychologists.  
  • Having strong experience and skills in conducting training in psychosocial counseling and supervision skills for the psychosocial counselors, CPSWs and other developmental actors
  • Having good comprehension and learning attitude in psychosocial interventions 
  • Experience in coordination with multi-stakeholders (GOs/INGOs) for the effectiveness of the service, including referral service 
  • Good report writing and documentation skills in both English and Nepali language 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi cultural environment 
  • Willingness to travel and work n the remote parts of the country
