Required No: Multiple
Location: Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces, and Province No.1 and travel to districts within these provinces

Key Responsibilities

  • Support EpiC Nepal in addressing mental health and psychosocial issues and challenges faced by the key population (KP) and people living with HIV (PLHIV). 
  • Conduct on site visit for diagnosis and treatment of PLHIV and KPs with mental disorders and support EpiC Nepal staff to resolve mental health issues of PLHIV and KPs in EpiC-supported districts of the province.
  • Conduct supportive supervision and onsite coaching of EpiC Nepal staff providing mental health services in EpiC supported districts of the province. 
  • Support in conducting orientation/training of EpiC Nepal staff on Mental Health using the orientation/training package.
  • Support in conducting psychosocial assessment and screening of mental health related issues in EpiC supported districts of the province.
  • Provide psychiatric consultation to KPs and PLHIV referred from EpiC-managed city clinics, support EpiC case managers for facilitating psychiatric case management at the referral facility. 
  • Respond to phone consultation done by EpiC case managers from city clinics. Make routine calls to case managers to find out the issues and support to resolve them.

Qualification

  • MBBS with Master’s degree in Psychiatry, and registered in Nepal Medical Council
  • Clinical skills and experience in management of psychiatric disorders. Experience working with marginalized and vulnerable populations preferred.
