Job Description

With funding support from Hem Kumari Gurung Memorial Trust, FGN will implement the project “Trafficking Prevention and Family Empowerment Project” in Lamjung District.

As a Project Officer, you will be pivotal in implementing the "Trafficking Prevention and Family Empowerment Project." Working closely with stakeholders and beneficiaries, contribute to protecting at-risk children, empowering families, and fostering community involvement to minimize risks of child trafficking and abuse.

  •  Lead the overall implementation of the "Trafficking Prevention and Family Empowerment Project" in collaboration with the FGN project team.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and engage directly with project beneficiaries to ensure effective communication and support.
  •  Collaborate with the Local Child Protection Committee and community leaders to identify and protect children at risk of child trafficking, displacement, and abuse.
  • Work with various local entities such as authorities, child clubs, community, educators, and social activists to minimize risks and promote family-based care.
  • Organize and conduct awareness events, meetings, and training sessions to educate and empower the community.
  •   Assist in planning monthly activities and contribute to the operational budget, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
  • Provide regular updates to the Line Manager on project activities, progress, and results.
  • Offer recommendations for optimizing project implementation and effectiveness
  • Undertake any other relevant duties essential for the success of the project.
