Autism Care Chitwan Society (ACCS) is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization established by group of dedicated parents of children with Autism. ACCS since its inception has been actively working for awareness, the rights and capacity building of child/persons with autism. ACCS has working experience with several INGOs like Abilis Foundation, Handicap International together with the Autism Care Nepal Society. Besides in the short period it has gained its credibility from the Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) and government stakeholders from the district. Besides this Autism Care Chitwan Society had worked on inclusive education project particularly with student with disability, in additional ACCS worked in emergency period (Covid response project).

Job Description

Duty Station: The position will be based in Bharatpur municipality Chitwan with  frequent visit to Kalika Municipality

Responsibilities 

Responsibility 1: Project Implementation  

Aim: To ensure timely implementation of project activities  

Activities: 

  • Regular coordination with project coordinator in regards to activities implementation plan 
  • Track record of the project and implementation activities and support community mobilizers 
  • Capacity building of community mobilizers 
  • Coordination meetings with stakeholders and local authorities 
  • Identify issues and challenges and support to mitigate them 
  • Support project coordinator in taking lead and implement the project activities as per the  Implementation Plan in close coordination with other implementing partners 
  • Coordinate with HI team to along with other project team of consortium implementing partners 
  • Support Project team in planning the project activities and implementing the activities as per  the detail implementation plan  
  • Coordinate with municipality stakeholder as required to keep informed on the project status and look for support wherever required 
  • Ensure Project coordinator is well informed and regularly updated on the project implementation including progress, constraints, challenges etc.  

Responsibility 2: Monitoring and Reporting and Documentation 

Aim: To ensure the implementation of the project and to fulfill the monitoring requirements 

Activities: 

  • Monitoring and Evaluation Framework of the project activities developed  
  • Support internal and external visitors, evaluators, observers, consultants during field visit, research, survey, evaluation, study and observation visits 
  • Maintain Data base in regular basis of each event conducted under the project 
  • Document Good practices, Learning, and evidence generated during the course of Implementation 
  • Carry out regular field monitoring visits to improve performance, track activities, maintain quality, and sustainability of the project  
  • Maintain accurate project database updated monthly and gather other information, evidence  as needed  
  • Submission of monthly, quarterly, half yearly, annual and project completion report to project  coordinator before the deadlines  
  • Support in carrying out monthly review meetings with Consortium implementing partners and  inform respective team for any issues to be addressed  
  • Monitor the quality of project data received from project team, cross check for the quality of  information, analyze and synthesize before reporting to project coordinator 
  • Track and ensure that recommendations from visits and meetings are followed and conveyed  to relevant team  

Responsibility 3: Coordination, communication and networking  

Aim: To ensure effective coordination and networking with local government and other consortium  implementing partners under the project 

Activities: 

  • Maintain effective coordination on regular basis with the project team so that there is efficient  internal communications of information between project team members and other partners 
  • Coordinate with other OPD and project related local government departments/ to explore  various possibilities to increase impact of Inclusive Education Project  
  • Promote and maintain effective communication with project coordinator,Community mobilizers and DIO 
  • Any other duty required at the service of the project and the organization 

Qualification and required skills 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or in relevant field 
  • At least 3 years working experience in inclusive education 
  • Strong Coordination and staff mobilization Skills and communication skills 
  • Sound knowledge of current education and practices of Government of Nepal 
  • Should have expertise on data analysis, report writing and training facilitation
  •  Strong reporting Skills 
  • Ability to work underpressure 
  • Proficiency in MS word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, email and internet 
  • Should have two wheelers driving license
