Job Description

The Project Officer will support AAIN Regional Office in Biratnagar in the management and successful implementation of the SAKCHAM project; and to strengthen and monitor programme through the adoption of human rights based approach in order to achieve Country Strategy Paper (CSP) objectives.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to partner NGOs in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project 
  • Engage in documenting programme impact, achievements and case stories related to the project 
  • Assist in developing partnership / programme guideline and procedures for smooth functioning of the project
  • Prepare capacity building plans, produce reading and learning materials, organise and conduct trainingsfor partner NGO
  • Support in building and maintaining relationship with various stakeholders and government line agencies
  • Ensure and be responsible for statutory plan, budget and timely reports, donor compliance along with monthly work update

Key competencies required:

  • Master’s degree in social science or related field. Specialization on Gender/Women's studies/Livelihood will be an advantage
  • At least 3 years professional experience in women's rights in I/NGOs and good working knowledge of women's right policies 
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English and Nepali including the ability and experience to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Good computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS WORD and POWERPOINT

This is a mid level position based in Biratnagar with frequent travel inside the country.
