Job Description

The Project Officer will support AAIN Regional Office in Biratnagar in the management and successful implementation of the SAKCHAM project; and to strengthen and monitor programme through the adoption of human rights based approach in order to achieve Country Strategy Paper (CSP) objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Provide support to partner NGOs in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project
Engage in documenting programme impact, achievements and case stories related to the project
Assist in developing partnership / programme guideline and procedures for smooth functioning of the project
Prepare capacity building plans, produce reading and learning materials, organise and conduct trainingsfor partner NGO
Support in building and maintaining relationship with various stakeholders and government line agencies
Ensure and be responsible for statutory plan, budget and timely reports, donor compliance along with monthly work update

Key competencies required:

Master’s degree in social science or related field. Specialization on Gender/Women's studies/Livelihood will be an advantage
At least 3 years professional experience in women's rights in I/NGOs and good working knowledge of women's right policies
Excellent skills in written and spoken English and Nepali including the ability and experience to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
Good computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS WORD and POWERPOINT

This is a mid level position based in Biratnagar with frequent travel inside the country.
