As a talented and experienced technical project manager, you should be able to oversee a wide variety of projects from conceptual design to implementation. You need to be detail-oriented technically sound to manage all project operations from inception to execution.  

As a technical project manager, you will be responsible for maintaining budgets, enforcing deadlines and supervising team members.  

SUPERVISOR/ MANAGER 

Reports to the Senior Management Team.  

MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Setting project goals and project planning 
• Creating long and short-term plans, including setting milestones and adhering to deadlines  
• Delegating tasks to project teams  
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project  
• Communicating with concerned parties to keep the project aligned with the goals  
• Controlling the quality of the project throughout development to maintain the standards 
• Maintaining project time-frames, budgeting estimates and status reports  
• Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities  
• Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget  
• Tracking project performance and schedule adherence  
• Conducting Risk Assessments for projects 
• Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards 
• Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.  
• Ensuring the project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.  
• Maintaining proper documentation    

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree preferably in computer science or related field  

Experience 

• Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in computer development work with a project-based focus and experience working with IT teams.  
• Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience  

Skills 

• Highly skilled in using AGILE & SCRUM Methodologies 
• Experience working in PRINCE2 will be an added advantage 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues  
• Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them  
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any risks/issues that occur during project completion  
• Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
