Job Description

Work Purpose: To lead and manage a project on school safety and early grade literacy in order to achieve the project goal to a high quality, and in alignment with WVIN’s education strategy in Sindhuli LPA, Sindhuli District. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Masters) in Education/Social Science/Rural Development or relevant subject from recognised university with at least three years working experience in disaster risks management
  • Good understanding and experience about Nepal Government’s strategies, policies, guidelines, school safety and Education system
  • Extensive experience and recognized expertise in models and methods of training, facilitation and capacity building, Project Management and organizational development for staffs, communities and
  • Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in an NGO context in working with community/grassroots people and organisations, specially focus on Disaster Risks Management, construction/renovation of buildings
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with technical skills in interviewing, photography
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills
  • Good report writing skills; with fluency in Nepali and English – both oral and written 
  • Innovation and creativity to have fun and meaningful activities for children
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
  • Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people.
