Project Manager-7 Position

Purpose: The position will ensure implementation of the project in close collaboration with all concerned and achieve the project objectives . S/he will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of all programmatic and financial aspects of the programme in accordance with proposal, monitoring and evaluation plan, performance framework, procurement and supply management plan, detailed budget, capacity building, and the program management tool (PMTool)

Terms and Location: Fixed term employment for various emergency response projects based in Country Office, lalitpur with 60% travel to project response areas. 

Core Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree preferably in Humanitarian Action/Disaster Management / social sciences or relevant disciplines. At least five (5) years’ work experiences in disaster management and humanitarian response with INGOs/UN or institutional donors. Experience in managing large, complex grants (e.g. USAID, EU, DFID) essential, including budget management, overall supervision of procurement and logistics, and timely production of accurate narrative and financial reports: essential. Experience working in emergency situations. Demonstrable experience in education /shelter and WASH programmes, community-based interventions and participatory planning and training. Excellent written and spoken English. Demonstrated ability to network and liaise with major donors and other health actors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Recovery Program Operational/Work Plan, budget, manage and implementation of activities through and partner organizations:
  • Monitor implementation of activities and budget expenditure of the recovery programme and Oversee financial management, joint planning, develop & implement project exit strategy and facilitate joint meetings amongst the member agencies and other stakeholders
  • Produce quality consolidated reports with lessons learned for our internal learning and the donor including establishing joint reporting tools and mechanisms, in close cooperation with the relevant staff of member agencies.
  • Represent the clusters to key stakeholders and providing information about project objectives, risks, constraints and progress in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure timely communication and coordination with donor and the team.
