Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and successfully executing projects from initiation through completion. The role requires strong leadership, communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, external stakeholders and Chinese speaking clients or business partners.

The ideal candidate must have strong proficiency in Chinese language with the ability to communicate professionally in both spoken and written Chinese.

Reports To: Senior Management

Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage projects from initiation to completion, developing project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements, and ensuring delivery within approved scope, timeline and budget.
Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, contractors and other external parties to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and procurement.
Communicate, coordinate and where required translate between Chinese speaking clients, partners, contractors and internal teams to ensure clear understanding on all sides.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, delays or issues, and take corrective action or resolve them through effective communication, negotiation and problem-solving.
Conduct project meetings, ensure follow-up on agreed actions, and maintain proper project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, schedules and records.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting issues requiring attention and supporting management in project-related strategy and decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements and applicable standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform other project-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Management or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant project management experience. Experience in hospitality, construction, or other large-scale projects will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

Fluent Chinese language proficiency is mandatory, with good command of English and Nepali.
Strong project planning, coordination and organizational skills; proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities; able to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Professional attitude with strong accountability and integrity.

Key Performance Indicators

Projects completed within approved timelines and budgets.
Effective coordination between departments, vendors and stakeholders, including successful communication with Chinese speaking stakeholders.
Effective management of project risks and issues.
Quality and accuracy of project documentation and reporting.
Overall achievement of project objectives and management expectations.
