Job Description

Sahara Nepal is a leading National Non-Government Organization (N/NGO) Nepal for social transformation and development through various projects and programs. For an upcoming WASH project Sahara Nepal, is looking for a dynamic team player in the following position based in Rasuwa and/or Nuwakot Districts.

Required Academic Qualification, Experience, and Training:

BE in Civil Engineering. or Civil Overseer with 10 years of experience in survey, design, cost estimate, and supervision of water supply projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Good knowledge on designing, implementing, and supervising construction-related activities. Develop the detailed designs and BOQ for inclusive WASH infrastructure, ensure the timely construction with quality, accuracy of survey and within estimated budget, establish operational and maintenance protocols, and ensure functioning of all systems.
Development of strategies, plan and capacity building for the improvement and promotion of hygiene habits.
Ensuring the quality of works at sites are as per the drawings and the engineering norms & standards.
Excellent ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize and implement multiple tasks within strict deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
Excellent analytical skills and a methodical approach to work.
Excellent written communication skills with clear and concise reporting style.
Experience of project management; specially in WASH Project Training delivery skill on construction, operation and maintenance of WSS schemes.
Familiar with government policies/guidelines related to WASH.
Fit to travel by walk from one village/scheme to another village/scheme
Good knowledge of the rural Nepal.
Knowledge on procurement and quality control.
Knowledge on the waste management and its basic requirements.
Sensitivity towards the issues of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).
Skill of motivating communities and resolving technical related issues of WSS schemes.
