PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Ujyalo Foundation is conducting a project called Ujyalo, which is an initiative to light up homes using bottle-bulbs in developing communities in Nepal. The main goal of Ujyalo is to perform surveillance to identify communities in Nepal that do not have access to electricity either due to lack of infrastructure or affordability, and install bottle-bulbs in the needed communities. The project will focus on performing needs and capacity assessment in the targeted communities, designing a program specific to each community, and implementing the program. First phase of Ujyalo has been already implemented in Birgunj, Nepal in June of 2013.
THE ROLE:
The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the team responsible for developing and implementing projects of varying need and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supervising, managing, and coordinating project activities with other team members and volunteers, and working collaboratively with the Executive Director.
