Time Bound Contract - Six months to One year
- Ensure quality proposals and reporting requirement
- Facilitate programme planning process with all departments to ensure that the humanitarian needs and response strategy are feasible and of good quality.
- Support Finance team in allocation and tracking of response funding to ensure response strategic priorities are funded and effective use of the available resources
- Compile and analyse relevant information to inform response design, programme management, operational improvement and promote learning, and ensure it is shared widely with internal and external stakeholders
- Build capacity within WVIN and partners in program design, monitoring and evaluation
- Ensure that accountability mechanisms are in place to ensure that the community’s voice is heard in all activities
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in International Development, Political Science/International Relations, Economics, Sociology,relevant from recognized university with at least 5 years experience in I/NGO in the related roles in emergency response programming context
- Experience in program management and implementation of multi-sector emergency response programs
- Previous experience working in complex emergency/rehabilitation contexts
- Knowledge of budget requirements and regulations of major donors
- Familiarity with major humanitarian codes, principles and practice
- Good knowledge of coordination with INGO’s and other key stakeholders-High degree of negotiation and persuasion skills
- Ability to work with a reasonably level of comfort in high tension and high security risk situations
- Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts psychologically stressful environs and physical hardships
- Ability to facilitate the creation of cross-functional project teams and the development of national strategies
- Excellent time-management and prioritization
- Demonstrates openness and transparency
- Proven experiences of working with the donors in funding proposals, relation building with them, understanding of donor requirements
- Understanding and skills on partnerships and collaboration
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
- Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent
