Umbrella Organization Nepal is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and Non-Government Organisation (NGO), which has been working in Nepal since 2005 and has all relevant registrations required to perform development activities in Nepal. The Organisation was set up in response to the growing number of children in Nepal whom were displaced and separated from their families by trafficking, poverty and the internal conflict in the country.

The Programme Director (PD) will work closely with the INGO Country Director and provide leadership and strategic direction to the programme team. The PD shall be responsible for all aspects of programme management, design, delivery, monitoring, evaluation, learning and reviews. The PD will assist the international team in proposal writing for key donors and fundraising for the overall Nepal programme and ensure accountability, transparency and careful monitoring and reporting of all projects.
Purpose of the position:
The Programme Director will directly manage a team and be responsible for ensuring effective coordination and implementation in the delivery of a joint strategy for child protection and welfare in all of the Childcare Homes, including daily supervision of the homes, and will coordinate closely with the Child Protection and Development Officer, the Youth Programme Manager and Reintegration & Field Manager, Education Officer and Admin and Finance Officer on all related issues to children and youths under its care.
Reporting Relationship:
Under the direct line management of INGO Country Director; The Programme Director (PD) will be working as a key team member of the organization for smooth operation of programme management, financial responsibility and overall management of the NGOs work.
