Job Description

High Impact Purpose: 

To lead the implementation of the Days for Girls Social Enterprise Program in Nepal and surrounding areas.

This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Days for Girls Social Enterprise Program in collaboration with the Country Director. S/he works collaboratively with the Global Programs team. This position is based in Kathmandu, Nepal and reports to the Nepal Country Director. 

Program & Project Management

  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of enterprise program project deliverables, build capacity of enterprise teams, lead project planning, budgeting, supervise and support enterprise leaders, action plans and monitoring processes in collaboration with the Country Director and Global Programs team
  • Organize, plan, and facilitate Days for Girls Social Enterprise trainings including:  Ambassadors of Women’s Health, entrepreneurship, and support sewing production team with operations to ensure high-quality production standards are met by enterprises
  • Organize program logistics: and communicate with partner organizations, organize transportation, create program agenda, ensure team has all materials necessary to run program
  • Provide timely and adequate input on donor/external reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, applicable laws, and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate the development of internal and external reports as needed, including sharing reporting templates, setting deadlines, coordinate input, and final edit and review
  • Produce accurate and timely updates throughout project life cycles
  • Employ resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring; troubleshoot project problems. Identify and implement creative solutions
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager and Country Director to prepare project-based budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests
  • Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of partner organizations.
  • Conduct site visits to enterprise site as needed 

Program Development

  • Responsible for assisting in the strengthening and expansion of DfG in Nepal and surrounding areas
  • Develop proposals for programs that will successfully transition Days for Girls training and distribution programs to more long-term development programs
  • Draft and edit proposals and reports
  • Track project implementation and support DfG response to changes in context, beneficiary needs, and donor positioning
  • Manage impact database with updated information about distributions and training; assist in the development of new M&E tools and trainings with the CD, CPO, Enterprise Director and Impact Director
  • Participate in strategy development conversations with Global Programs team 
  • Assist in the creation of new training materials and tools, as needed 

Communications & Marketing 

  • Work with CD, Enterprise Director, Finance Manager, enterprise coordinators, M&E director to ensure the coordination of programs across DfG global offices
  • Lead the development of marketing strategies for DfG enterprises in Asia pacific region in collaboration with the CD and Enterprise Director, as needed 
  • Participate and facilitate partnership development and donor meetings, as needed
  •  Manage the creation of materials including but not limited to: posters, marketing materials, and advertisements 
  • Represent Days for Girls and liaise with local and national authorities, NGOs, and businesses to promote DfG programs, facilitate successful coordination of activities and ensure transparency and accountability to all stakeholders
  • Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant or other project-based agreements
  • Assist in the development of promotional documents and materials, i.e. photos, testimonials, video clips, as needed 
  • Provide English to Nepali translation as needed
