Job Description

Nepal Women Community Service Center (NWCSC)- Dang in partnership with USAID/Helen Keller International, is implementing the USAID Integrated Nutrition Activity in Dang district. This program aims to improve the nutrition status of women, adolescents, and children in underserved and marginalized communities by addressing malnutrition's direct and underlying causes.

Job Description: Under the supervision of the Executive Director and technical guidance from the USAID Integrated Nutrition Province Office, the Program Coordinator will lead the district team to design, implement, and manage nutrition programs across municipalities. Responsibilities include coordinating health, agriculture, WASH, and governance activities, supervising operations and field teams, and ensuring Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) principles are integrated. The role requires close collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders, development partners, and private sector actors to achieve sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and implement USAID Integrated Nutrition programs at the district level in alignment with local needs and government policies.
  • Facilitate workshops, develop monthly work plans, and engage stakeholders for effective program execution.
  • Provide technical guidance to local teams for nutrition, health, WASH, and agriculture activities.
  • Monitor program implementation, conduct field visits, and ensure high-quality reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government, development partners, and local stakeholders for program synergy.
  • Integrate Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) principles into all program activities.
  • Lead the district team to deliver accountable, inclusive, and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, nutrition, or developmental studies (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali, with knowledge of local languages strongly preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A two-wheeler driving license is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates familiar with the district’s context and challenges.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government, non-government, or private sectors.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing diverse teams for nutrition-specific and sensitive programs.
  • Proven track record in grants management, budget handling, and stakeholder coordination.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
  • Technical expertise in multisectoral nutrition, including health, agriculture, and WASH.
  • Effective communication and advocacy skills for stakeholder engagement.
