Paragon Public School was established in the year 1994 in Battisputali, Kathmandu with 57 students and 15 staff members. In the year 2003 with the vision of providing quality education at an affordable cost by using modern pedagogies in the state-of-the art infrastructure facilities Paragon shifted to a permanent location beside the banks of Bagmati River .

Job Description

Primary Level English Teacher is the one who is an inspiring, committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join an outward-looking and high achieving faculty. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, passionate about their subject, and must be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school. He/she provides all pupils with a strong grounding in literary and linguistic study, enabling them to become confident communicators and informed critical thinkers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Working  closely with the School’s Librarians to nurture a reading culture throughout the School and to instil in our pupils a love of reading and of learning.
  • Beyond the classroom, the Faculty offers a wide range of opportunities for pupils to develop their skills and interests, including theatre trips and screenings, study days, author visits.
  • The English Faculty runs a broad range of extra-curricular clubs, including a wide range of reading and creative writing clubs, debating groups, academic workshops, and our own annual book award.

  • Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
  • Organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class

  • Maintaining discipline
  • Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development

  • Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area

  • Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities, which may take place at weekends or in the evening
