As a Site Engineer/Overseer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, managing onsite personnel, and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your duties will include:
- Site Supervision: Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Construction Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate construction sequencing, resolve design conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of construction work to verify compliance with quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Resource Management: Manage construction resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and machinery, effectively to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all onsite personnel.
- Problem Resolution: Identify construction challenges, such as design changes, material shortages, or unforeseen site conditions, and implement timely and cost-effective solutions to mitigate project risks and delays.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Client Relations: Interface with clients, architects, and consultants to address project concerns, provide progress updates, and resolve issues related to construction quality, schedule, and budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings in construction operations. Implement best practices, innovative technologies, and lessons learned to enhance construction productivity and project outcomes.
