Job Description

The Plant Operator/Shift In-Charge will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the hydropower plant, including monitoring and controlling plant equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring smooth plant operations during their shift.

Key Responsibilities:

For Mechanical

Ability to read the machine drawing and carry out relative maintenance
Sound knowledge of Turbine, guide vane, MIV operation and maintenance
knowledge of hydraulic system and cooling system high pressure pipeline maintenance
work experience of turbine bearing maintenance
Penstock pipe and expansion joint maintenance
knowledge of different types of gates operation and maintenance

For Electrical

Ability to lead the shift
Good knowledge of 132 KV transmission line, 11 KV distribution line, switchyard, switchgear, control panels, DG and other hydro equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to read electrical control and protection line diagram and carry out relevant maintenance.
Fault identification techniques
Person with knowledge of SCADA & communication system is highly appreciated
