Job Description

  • Direct, coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of the plant and ensure workers are accomplishing production goals in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner
  • Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production. Ensure fixed assets are preserved
  • Prepare and maintain all department, machinery and equipment handling related SOPs
  • Develop departmental budget, monitor plant spending, and report on operating costs within functional areas
  • Work effectively with plant supervisors and other departments to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment
  • Serve as key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant’s strategic direction, establishing priorities and allocating resources
  • Ensure all staff to report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate immediate corrective actions
  • Ensure routine maintenance of all machinery and equipment are done on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintain inventory of all machinery and spare parts and ensure availability of tools and equipment for maintenance activities
  • Work with sales for planning and forecast of existing product line and new business
  • Maximize productive capabilities to achieve customer satisfaction while attaining operating cost and goals
  • Manages and implements change to ensure continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
