Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable and robust PHP-based backend solutions.
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines using PHP.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Utilize PHP and React.js knowledge to enhance integration and functionality.

Database Management:

• Design and optimise database schemas for performance and scalability.
• Write efficient SQL/NoSQL queries and manage database operations.
• Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery procedures.

System Integration:

• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for smooth delivery and deployment.

Performance Optimization:

• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor and improve the performance of the application.
• Conduct load testing and ensure the system can handle high traffic.

Security:

• Implement security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security audits and code reviews.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Collaboration and Mentoring:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the backend system.
• Document code, APIs, and database structures.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Propose and implement new technologies and processes to improve development efficiency.
• Participate in research and development activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in backend development.
• Proven experience with [primary programming languages, e.g., Node.js, PHP].

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP and frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Node.js and React.js is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
