Job Description

  • Develop and implement engaging phonics lessons tailored to students' age, proficiency levels, and learning styles.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively teach phonemic awareness, phonics decoding, word recognition, and spelling.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate and learn.
  • Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in phonics skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate phonics instruction into the broader curriculum and support cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students' phonics development, progress, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on best practices and research in phonics instruction, incorporating new methodologies and techniques into teaching practices.
