Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and registered Pharmacist (registered in Nepal Pharma Council) who will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of medications to patients with various physical or mental health conditions include communicating with local physicians to determine the type of medication and dosage for a customer, taking inventory of pharmaceutical drugs to reorder them based on demand and interacting with pharmacy customers to give them their prescriptions and answer medication questions. 
Pharmacist should also be able to understand and communicate through virtual clinics apps and its functions to educate and assist the patients.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspection.
  • Serves patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to multidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drug therapies.
  • Prepares medications by reviewing (including virtual prescriptions) and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
  • Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counselling patients on drug therapies.
  • Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
  • Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions.
  • Responsible of inventory and maintaining the stock

Key Attributes: 

  • 3+ years of Experience as Pharmacist
  • Hand on experience Regulatory process with Nepal Pharmacy Council
  • Pharmacists license from Nepal Pharmacy Council
  • Legal compliance
  • Communication and social skills
  • Ability to think critically
