The ACNS (https://autismnepal.org/) is an active autism organization in Nepal led by parents of individuals with autism. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office (Registration No. 1067/2065) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC No: 25314). Since its inception on April 2, 2008, on "World Autism Awareness Day," it has been actively engaged in autism awareness programs, advocating for the rights of individuals with autism/autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and capacity building of individuals with autism, their parents and caregivers in Nepal.
The organisation provides assessment and diagnostic services, intervention programs, parent training and counselling, a special education program, vocational training for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and capacity building for health, educational, and other paraprofessionals.
