Location: Jawalakhel, Lalitpur and Sanothimi, Bhaktapur 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Partnerships Associate to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and manage various projects on behalf of Doko Recyclers, ensuring successful implementation from inception to completion. 

Responsibilities:

Partnership Projects and Grants:

  • Writing proposals for projects and research studies in waste management and related fields.
  • Actively seek and apply for national and international grants aligned with our organizational objectives.
  • Connect with stakeholders in the development sector to establish partnerships in sustainability and environmental initiatives.
  • Engage with Municipalities and Wards to offer technical support in waste management projects.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Lead ongoing and upcoming partnership projects as per agreed timeline. Actively contribute in project planning, task scheduling, milestone tracking, etc.
  • Lead as the coordinators role for communication for successful implementation of each project with the relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor overall budget spending, engage with vendors, and track project-related payments.
  • Travel to project sites for community engagement and advocacy, ensuring project alignment with community needs. 
  • Conduct field visits to collect accurate and complete primary research data.
  • Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation plans, data collection methodologies, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Utilize statistical software (Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, R) for advanced data analysis and GIS tools for geographical mapping in waste management research.
  • Prepare the project progress and financial reports to be submitted to relevant stakeholders and project donors.

Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach:

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders in ongoing projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the project team and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Handle logistical arrangements for stakeholder roundtable meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and support the project team with administrative tasks as needed.

Others:

  • Assist in developing comprehensive training materials, modules, guides, curriculum, infographics and visual aids on waste management.
  • Facilitate engaging and informative training sessions for stakeholders and clients, both in-person and virtually.

Other Qualifications/Specifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in waste management, sustainability, or environmental sectors.
  • Proven experience in writing proposals, securing grants, and establishing partnerships, preferably in the environmental or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in writing proposals and securing grants is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, or R.
  • Familiarity with GIS software for geographical data analysis and visualization is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed for project-related activities.
