Job Description

Report to: General Manager

Supervises to: Construction activities.

Mode of contract: Rolling annual contract with a probation period of six months. The annual contract will be extendable

General scope of the position:

Overseer is responsible for supervision, instruction and monitor the job performed by construction worker. His/her primary responsibility is to complete the construction job as directed by superior authority on timely basis with cost effectiveness. He/she is responsible for performance of construction workers.

Main tasks and Responsibilities:

Instructs and supervise workers on construction activities process.
Plans training schedule for making sure workers achieve standard production in specified time.
Recommends transfer of worker from one operation to another based on progress made.
Ensure construction has been done as specify and as instructed.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Perform safety measure for protection of construction equipmentes.
Prepare and report the periodic report of improvement in construction activities.
Do necessary arrangements and activities for minimize waste and losses of resources.
Ensure that all safety precautions are taken and that the work conditions do not pose a threat to the workers' health and life.
Must instruct the workers on how to use the equipment and operate the machinery in a manner safe to the machine operator and other workers.
Coordinate worker activity and make sure construction projects are completed in time and within budget.
Maintain timekeeping and personnel records of construction workers.
