Doko Recyclers (DR), a social enterprise, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in Kathmandu Valley and outside. DR serves customers in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets throughout the valley.

We implement methods to help you segregate waste at its source into different categories before it enters our waste stream. Once it enters our waste stream we continue to separate your waste into different recyclable categories ensuring that the right materials get to the right industries. These industries then extract and reuse existing resources from the waste you give us to create new goods. Our shredding, e-waste, and composting services in addition to our waste pick ups, awareness training workshops, and waste segregation infrastructure setup all allow you to do this instinctively in your own homes and office spaces.

Job Description

Reports to: Facility Manager or Senior Management

Job Purpose

To establish and lead Doko Recycler's new base in Pokhara by managing daily operations, driving business development, and building strong client relationships to grow revenue and impact in the region.

Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Set up and oversee daily operations and logistics to establish a strong foundation for the Pokhara facility.
  • Supervise and support the operations and logistics teams, maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular meetings to align goals, track progress, and resolve challenges.
  • Manage on-site shredding services, including client reporting and documentation.
  • Maintain workplace safety, report incidents promptly, and organize regular site cleaning.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on operations, logistics, scrap volumes, and team performance.
  • Coordinate inventory and delivery logistics for bins, labels, fertilizers, decomposers, and related products.
  • Manage sales and fulfillment of refurbished and second-hand products via DokoShop and partner platforms.
  • Support and facilitate site tours for clients and visitors.

2. Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Lead initiatives to establish and grow Doko’s presence in Pokhara by identifying and developing new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
  • Plan and implement strategies to increase dry waste collection, targeting sectors such as manufacturing industries, MNCs, large waste producers, scrap traders and multi-chain stores.
  • Research market trends, negotiate buying and selling prices based on market fluctuations, and prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts to ensure smooth client onboarding.
  • Execute strategies for shredding services, securing new leads, contracts, and tenders for scrap and asset disposal.
  • Respond promptly to service and product inquiries, ensuring a high standard of client engagement and support.
  • Represent the company at events and promote the full range of Doko’s services, including e-waste recycling and Doko shop products.
