NÈ is a contemporary Himalayan hospitality concept where food, drink, art, design and culture come together within an intimate and evolving space. Rooted in Himalayan heritage and expressed through contemporary hospitality, NÈ is designed as a place people can inhabit, return to, and experience differently over time - while warmth, quality, care, and cultural integrity remain constant.

Role Purpose

NÈ is seeking a highly versatile, hands-on Operations Manager to establish and lead the restaurant from pre-opening through daily operations. You are expected to balance active floor management, staff coaching, and guest relations with critical administrative duties like financial analysis and reporting. Ultimately, management relies on this role to drive consistentexcellence across five core pillars: people, service, guest experience, systems, and financial discipline.

Reports to: Directors / Management

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening: Lead operational readiness, manage checklists, establish practical systems (reservations, billing, inventory), coordinate POS setup, and organize mock services.
Team Development: Participate in recruitment, lead onboarding, train staff in service standards and POS, and conduct pre-service briefings.
Daily Operations: Manage reservations, seating, shift changes, and ensure appropriate staffing levels while maintaining an active managerial presence on the floor.
Guest Experience & Service: Monitor guest satisfaction, handle complaints calmly,establish clear service sequences, and maintain consistency across different times of day.
Inventory & Procurement: Establish par levels, verify goods received, conduct physical stock counts, and prevent over-ordering.
Financial & Sales: Ensure correct POS usage, verify daily cash/card reconciliation, track guest count and average spend, and monitor operational costs.
Environment & Safety: Maintain the physical environment (lighting, music, furniture), ensure high cleanliness standards, and enforce food and fire-safety procedures.
Leadership: Behave as the operational owner, make sound decisions within authority, and communicate significant issues to management early.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Other Specification

4-6 years of relevant hospitality experience within restaurants, premium cafés, boutique hotels, bars or comparable F&B operations.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or management position. Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
A Bachelor degree in a related field is preferred, though practical experience is prioritized over academic qualifications.
Strong spoken English and Nepali, calm decision-making under pressure, commercial awareness, and proficiency in POS and inventory management.
The ideal candidate notices details (e.g., waiting tables, inventory issues), addresses problems proactively, and leads with confidence without creating unnecessary hierarchy.
